[CAMBRIDGE, MA] Asa Brebner, favorite to many, releases his first live album, entitled ABBEY LODE, April 17th on Hi-N-Dry Records. Two special record release shows, hosted by Brebner, and joined by his many musical friends will take over Inman Square’s Abbey Lounge, April 21st and 22nd.
ABBEY LODE, the first live recording by Boston’s unsung hero, Asa Brebner, totes over an hour of live music with 18 songs, was recorded live a year ago (Feb 25, 26, 27) at the Abbey. With a special introduction by friend Peter Wolf, the record blares anchors of Brebner’s live sets from his 5 full-length solo albums, including favorites "Babes in the Bar," "Jack’s On Drugs," and "Showdown." Guest performers include Dennis Brennan, Jill Kurtz, Pat Wallace, Andrew Mazzone, Ted Drosdowski, Kevin Shurtleff, Billy Conway, Dana Colley, Laurie Sargeant, Andrea Gillis, and countless other musicians and friends.
